Global warming.
Global warming has happened many times before, but this time around, it is human-made you notice that sometimes earth has its ice ages, and sometimes it goes through its warming stages. The idea is not to make the peaks and troughs of this cycle worse through our lack of preparation. Once we understand that weather changes happen, then we can meet our human-made challenge to global warming. Once a good portion of the earth was under ice, then at other times, the North Pole was a rainforest.
When I get mad at a group or a person that happens from time to time, I think that there are these very people I’m mad are just trying to make sense of the ups and downs they’re going through. After I think this, I’m not angry anymore, realizing that I’m trying to do the same thing as they are.
Be positive when there is a negative.
Sometimes trouble seems to follow us. The negatives in life have our number or callings. Keep a positive attitude smile and tend to your goals. Things will work out just fine, you’ll see.
When time moves slowly for us, we could very well be in a negative phase of our cycle where things seem to move painfully slow. When time moves fast, we could be having such a good time that we forget how much time has passed by. Of course, time doesn’t move any faster or slower; it’s just our perception of it at the moment.
It’s nice to know that something in life is certain in life besides death and taxes. That’s the ups and downs in life, especially the positives in life. Of course, my understanding of death and taxes may be different than yours.
You see how good I can get in a subject area well that’s how good I was in poker. It used to depress me that my gambling buddies used to get so mad at me for winning all the time.
Aging day by day.
Each day your mind and body go through changes; you are never the same person two days in a row because of your changing cycles. There’s never two sunrises or two sunsets the same. For those that meditate, there are never two meditations exactly alike because of the changes that take place in your mind and body. What I’m saying is to learn how to appreciate each day.
When ignoring someone, here is what can happen, and here is a better way to handle the situation.
Ignoring someone who wants your attention makes them try harder to get your attention. When you treat each person as the unique person that they are, you show respect for their uniqueness, which is more appreciated and can get the desired results.
Having more than 15 minutes of fame in a lifetime is hard to do.
Most of the giants of the 1960’s rock and roll era don’t seem to produce music like they used to anymore. Do our cycles have something to do with that? Their fans are grown-up, but if they liked their music today, they would still buy their CD’s. Something is going on here. Those 60s pop stars probably know more about music than when they were young. Could it be said that each of us only has 15 minutes of fame in one endeavor? By 15 minutes of fame, I mean, we can only get so much exposure out of a situation. That is finite, not infinite in duration. Once that 15 minutes of fame is gone, they must try very hard to see 15 minutes of fame in the same or another endeavor if that is possible. Once we peak in one endeavor, it is very hard to do it again. It seems to be so true. Let’s take a look at the American entertainer Bob Hope he was in the public eye for years. He paid his dues in vaudeville radio the movies, and on TV, he seemed to grow with the times. Frank Sinatra stayed on top till his passing. His voice held up over the years with songwriters standing in line to bring him fresh material along the way his music grew with each generation. Tony Bennett still going strong too. They had their ups and downs, but their secret was they paid their dues with each generation that came along.
